It just happened.
I am NOT sure I would like a true insight into my own mind if it consists pictures like this (or the things I use to write about now and then...)
STOCK CREDIT:
Model: my own, *Mithgariel-stock
Sea and sky: *Iardacil-stock
Gateway: ~lup-stock
Blood texture (that used to be a closeup of a pink cotton candy ) and the rusty texture (that used to be a Mars texture) by ~Ayelie-stock
Veil brushes are a gift from from Andreea *ro-stock
Besides blathering on about how much I love it and how perfect it is... I love the way the sky seems to open up and shine above/behind her head; it brings attention to her face and you see her sad expression. The way her left leg almost disappears into the water is a nice touch; almost looks like it is partially buried in the sand, rooting her to her spot and not letting her leave. The building in the distance kind of eerilyghostily hovering there adds some depth, so the picture doesn't just float away into the distance like so many tend to...
I don't know if it was intentional, but it looks almost like she's sitting on a stage; the angle of the ground and her proximity to the water itself. Like the stage floor, with some bloody water on it, is melding into the theatre's backdrop. The veil and the flowers in her hand are just crying "Giselle", after her death when she's become a Wili (all that's missing is the super-pale skin and all-white dress!)
Yes I have more to say, I'm still absorbing the image...

What happens to the hole when the cheese is gone?
Overall, the feeling the image gives is that she is sad, longing, but resignedly so; since there is nothing she can do to change her fate. Part of that comes from her expression, but a good deal comes from the details as well: there is sun shining behind her head, through a break in the clouds, but it is behind her and she is still in shadow. As I said before, her leg half-buried in the sand seems to show that she is stuck there and can't leave. Yet she is calm, and sitting composedly; leaning quietly on her arm and gently propped up with the other in the sand, looking downwards but still with her chin level to the ground. She looks towards the dry sand to her right, not to the dark blood to her left; she doesn't curl away from the blood, or recoil from the waters, or hang her head dejectedly or in defeat.
*sighs*
I could write an essay on this picture - you probably have no clue and it more than likely wasn't intentional, but you've added so many elements of the performing arts here (and the essence of a dancer's art, which is portraying a whole story through body language) it's really remarkable.

What happens to the hole when the cheese is gone?
Wow.
You have just earned the prize for The Longest Comment I Have Ever Had.
Position of her head - intentional. Added more to it with rendered light.
Left foot - intentional (so now we cannot see her lovely blue toenails )
Building - also intentional, otherwise the background would have been to blank. Or so I felt.
And the stage effect - also intentional.
Flowers? First I was to ask - what flowers, but then I realised, that the edge of the second veil layer DO look as if she was holding white flowers. Wow, did not notice it looks like that before.
And dammit. Now you make me want to SEE Giselle and do more of the theme Evul you!

The night is always darkest before the dawn [link]
First of all, thank you very much for the thorough comment. To be honest, I am sick and tired of all the 2 word comments. (I know, I know, people don't have time, but still...)
And now, as to performing arts....
I have been active in theatre for about 10 years, 3 of those as a free lanced stage producer and about 2 as a film producer.
I have also been known to use a LOT of dancelike movements in all my plays and film. Music, and musical movement has been one of the most important parts at all.
I am not sure about intentional, but subconscious makes wonders.

My first comment wasn't two-word, it was two-emoticon... (worse? )
Well THERE you go! I think I'm stuck in the ballet mindset, this picture evokes the exact sort of ... mm. Mindset I've been in when portraying characters before, and that pose is very similar to one that was at the end of one of my dances just two years ago. So it's amazing to me that you managed to capture all that visually; it's like putting down in an image what I had/have in my head, but in a way I would never have thought of myself.
Your (wow, extensive) performing arts experience MUST have helped with that picture, you captured everything to a T and got all the tiny details right. Bravo!
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

... that is all.
And most of those works I took off because I hated them so much, just like in a few months all my current stuff will be gone..
