Within these following months I will try to take you all to a journey through different lands, having gathered stock images about wonderous places. It is my whim and love for Ireland that I begin with this.

Last night as I lay dreaming of pleasant days gone by,
Me mind bein´ bent on rambling to Ireland I did fly,
I stepped on board a vision and followed with the will,
When next I came to anchor at the cross near Spancil Hill.

Delighted by the novelty, enchanted by the scene
Where in my early boyhood so often I had been
I thought I heard a murmur and I think I hear it still,
It's that little stream of water that flows down Spancil Hill.

Being on the twenty-third of June, the day before the fair,
When Ireland's sons and daughters in crowds assembled there
The young, the old, the brave and the bold, their duty to fulfill,
At the parish church of Clooney, a mile from Spancil Hill.

I went to see my neighbours, to hear what they might say,
The old ones were all dead and gone, and the young ones turning grey
I met the tailor Quigley, he's as bold as ever still,
Sure he used to make my britches when I lived in Spancil Hill.

I paid a flying visit to my first and only love,
She's as fair as any lily and gentle as a dove
She threw her arms around me, saying "Johnny, I love you still"
Ah she's Nell, the farmer's daughter, the pride of Spancil Hill

I dreamt I held and kissed her as in the days of yore
She said "Johnny you're only joking, as many's the time before"
The cock he crew in the morning, he crew both loud and shrill,
I awoke in California, many miles from Spancil Hill.

Lyrics of "Spanicil Hill", the trad. version.

Well, Estonians are said to be very much like the Irish, so... maybe it's that.
I'm actually planning to take a journey there along with a friend from Barcelona. Perhaps the upcoming summer?

When I visited it was almost winter... beautiful autumn colours still on the trees, not too cold yet..and there was hardly anything open because...hardly any tourists. Summer is busy apparently and there are more tours etc running... i found it difficult getting to the places i wanted to go as i had to use public transport at the time and there were less buses...but i loved the places i went, the people were so kind and wonderful
Hope that info helps a little? Good luck =D & Have lots of fun

Sounds really great, though. But I'll have to make it summer, since well - it would be cold to sleep outdoors during autumn or winter. See, I'm kinda backpacker type, travelling with cheapest planes and mostly moving around hitch hiking. You don't happen to know about that in Ireland? How popular is it? (Then again, almost nobody did it in Greece and Crete, and I still got around very well.)

Hitch hiking is tricky...i tried once when i was stuck but never saw anyone else hitching in all my travels (locals say dont do it) buses are the cheapest...the hostels are also pretty cheap outside of the cities (Dublin is seriously difficult to find a place to sleep unless you book weeks in advance & obviously more expensive)
Send me a note if you'd like any more info, I'm happy to help
